Join us as a Senior Category Buyer IT within Purchasing@ContiTech.

In this role, you will drive IT procurement activities across the region with regularly global scope, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven sourcing outcomes. You will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders and contribute to building a strong supplier base and procurement practices.

Your Tasks

As Senior Category Buyer IT, you will be responsible for managing sourcing activities across IT-related categories with a focus on quality, cost, and long-term value.

Lead end-to-end IT sourcing projects, from demand definition to supplier selection and contract award
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, business functions) to structure requirements and define sourcing strategies
Prepare and manage RFPs/RFQs and support contract negotiations with suppliers
Drive supplier selection based on commercial, technical, and strategic criteria
Manage and further develop supplier relationships, including performance monitoring where required
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, standards, and guidelines
Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
Support the implementation of category strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Cerințe

Your Profile

University degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, or a related field
Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor & contract management in IT
Proven experience in managing sourcing projects and negotiations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership of topics
Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
Fluent in English; German is a plus
